There are a lot of different things to consider no matter who you are when it comes to buying a computer and finding the perfect fit for your needs.
In this article I have broken down each Apple computer model and it’s primary functions to better help you choose which Mac is the one for you.
What Are Your Needs?
Before you burn a hole in your wallet and chew through a lot of cash you should always ask yourself this question. Going overboard for no reason will only cause you to spend more money when you may be just fine with a less expensive option.
It’s Not Windows:
Can you run Windows on every single one of these Macs? Yes you can. Do you need to? No you do not. Is the Mac operating system just like Windows? No it’s not.
Mac PC Comparison:
The Macbook Air is quite literally the smallest and thinest laptop on the planet. It’s sleek and beautiful in every way. The Macbook Air is made for complete portability.
Although this laptop boast some pretty impressive specs; it is not going to be your powerhouse machine.
The Macbook Air also uses only SSD hard drives which makes for less storage capacity but tons of speed. They also do not have any disc drive. Apple does make a USB disc drive to go along nicely with the Macbook Air if you need that.
If you are looking for an ultra portable fantastic laptop for light computing, browsing the internet, and doing non labor intensive tasks on your computer; then the Macbook Air may be the perfect Mac for you.
The Macbook Pro is the top of the line laptop that Apple makes. These things are in a league all their own. The “Pro” in it’s name stands for “professional”. That is generally what the Macbook Pro is made for.
They have the ability to run any high end professional software with ease. These computers also come with more customization options. Put an Intel I7 chip with 8 GB of RAM and an SSD hard drive in this thing; sit back and watch it scream!
If you want the best of the best and you plan on using your computer to create things professionally; then the Macbook Pro is definitely the Mac for you.
The Mac Mini is in a class all it’s own. It’s small but powerful. The only downside in my opinion is that you still have to buy a monitor being that this is strictly just the computer, mouse and keyboard.
However, it is very nicely priced and is definitely the best deal for your money when it comes to buying an Apple computer.
If you’re on a budget but want to have all the good things that come from owning a Mac at your fingertips; then this is the Mac for you.
The Imac has taken many different forms over the years. This is the grandfather of the “All – In – One” style computer. Everything you need is packaged beautifully into this desktop computer.
Going all the way up to a 27″ inch display and coming with a few customizable features such as upgrading RAM and adding an SSD harddrive. The Imac is a fantastic choice.
This is also my personal choice. I have been working on Imacs for over 10 years and I can not express my love for this series enough. If you’re looking for a long lasting, everything you need all in one spot desktop computer; then the Imac is the Mac for you.
The Mac Pro desktop series is probably the most customizable computer on the market today. This computer comes with tons of options for upgrading.
Yes, this series is very high priced but it’s also not for the every day computer user. These computers are made for power users and professionals.
They offer almost ungodly amounts of power and speed. If you are one of those people that have to have the very best of everything or you are professional who needs the absolute most powerful computer on the market, then the Mac Pro is the Mac for you.
No matter who you are, or what your needs are there is a Mac for you.
