It is nearly astounding how much the prices of Flash Memory have dropped over the past five years. Once upon a time, you could easily pay $80.00 for 128 megabytes of USB flash memory and the convenience it offered was well worth the investment.

Although flash memory has lost it’s luster over the previous years, it still stands as one of the most reliable forms of transporting data from one location to another. For this reason, there are few people who actually do not own a flash memory drive.

This particular unit is from Patriot, and it has such a low cost it is hard to believe they even make a profit on them anymore. At less than $15.00, this unit sports 8 Gigabytes of memory, more than adequate for even many hardcore computer users.

Remember though, it is never a good idea to purchase computer hardware on manufacturer name alone, you should always do some research into user reviews prior to making your purchase. I strongly recommend checking Amazon.com or Newegg.com.

This item just included the Patriot flash memory unit, nothing else. Unfortunately, no lanyard was included, oh how we geeks love our lanyards. It is a crying shame… really. Guess you will have to make a trip to staples for one of those bad boys.
