Today’s video was meant to go into great detail comparing the Google TV to the Apple TV. For those of you who haven’t heard of either, Google TV and Apple TV are the most recent releases from the two giants competing for your television. Through these two services, users will have the ability to connect their televisions to the internet and gain powerful services such as Netflix and Hulu Plus on their TVs. What does this mean for you? Well it means that most network television channels are now going to be available through your internet rather through a huge cable cost. For the low price of $10.00 a month you can get Netflix unlimited streaming, which includes hundreds of DVDs in High Definition as well as many popular television shows in High Definition.
This is definitely where the televisions of the futures are going to be. Sony has even started to build televisions with the Google TV built right into the set. Those cable companies better get themselves in gear for this kind of shift, because once the NFL and most other major sports giants learn they can offer their services directly to users for a subscription fee, they will likely find themselves far more interested in getting a direct profit rather than selling their services through cable and satellite companies. That is likely not going to happen anytime soon.
The reason no real comparison is done in this video is because the YouTube user SoldierKnowsBest has already done a comparison that is not only hands on, but straightforward and completely descriptive on all the features. As a result, I thought I would concede this one to the master and pass you on to his video.
Enjoy his videos and don’t forget to subscribe, his are always worth watching!
