Facebook is no stranger to offering gaming services to it’s users. A most recent addition to their catalog is Monopoly Millionaires, which takes an unorthodox approach to making Monopoly social network capable. Monopoly has traditionally been a competitive game, but as one can imagine, bringing that competitiveness to a social network can be no easy tasks. Anyone who is a fan of the board game will likely wonder… “On Facebook? Is that possible?”
I have personally had the pleasure to give Monopoly Millionaires a shot, and must say, it is definitely a clever approach to bringing the game to a social network medium. Instead of everyone playing on a single board, all players possess their own boards where they can purchase and upgrade properties. Those properties generate revenue for them in real time. As with any social network game, the more often the user comes back, the more they are rewarded.
Users can choose to build up their properties and add personalization to their game boards. The coolness factor really comes into play when users get to visit their friends game boards and roll their dice. This way friends can become a part of their friends personalized game board. Each player gets a certain number of rolls per timeframe and those rolls will get them additional properties that can be used to further upgrade their buildings.
Of course, you must check it out to see all of the features, it is definitely worth looking into and it has tremendously positive ratings so far.
