As the “far from over” highly contested election of 2020 plays out there are many pending lawsuits. In a recent win from the Trump campaign, a judge decided that all ballots arriving after election that were set aside should not be counted. The official filing shows Respondent Kathy Boockvar, in her official capacity as Secretary of the Commonwealth, lacked statutory authority. Take a look:
Although Trump was behind Joe Biden by over 50,000 votes, this victory does set precedent that can be applied nationwide. Assuming other counties or jurisdictions violated the statutory authority, they can now be challenged within the precedence of this suit.
