The default editing area for WordPress is set to a dramatically low 10 lines of text. Why the creators of WordPress decided this is an adequate amount of space to work in is beyond me. Fortunately, as with most other WordPress features, the developers give you a method to quickly and easily increase the size of your editing area.
One of the major reasons individuals may want to increase the WordPress blog post editing area is for image and video embedding. Images and videos tend to take up far more space than your typical text formatting. Many individuals stick to the default because they have never been made aware of how easy it is to increase the editing area size.
