Today’s video will show you how to enable the enhanced performance features for Serial ATA Hard Drives. SATA Hard drives have a caching feature that windows is reluctant to enable by default because if a power outage occurs it increases the risk of data loss. For those of us who aren’t too concerned about such things because we keep a good backup – this is a great feature to enable to get increased disk access speeds on Windows Vista. I decided to show you guys how to enable this feature, but probably wouldn’t do so unless you were completely comfortable with it.
