Today’s video shows you how to disable a service that is running in the background of Windows XP. This indexing service is primarily running so Windows can index all of the files and folders on your computer in real time so your Windows searches will go faster. If you are anything like me – you rarely, if ever, use the indexing service – so disabling it will allow your computer to use up less resources. This isn’t going to cause a dramatic increase in speed, but every little bit counts.
