Why Learning How To Disable Start Menu Apps List In Windows 10 (2020) Is Important:

Why Would Someone Disable Start Menu Apps List In Windows 10?

The start menu comes packed with many applications installed in the Windows 10 operating system. For many users, this app list is the only way they can get access to any application installed on the operating system, or so they think. With the implementation of excellent search functionality on the start menu, having an apps list is no longer a necessity in the Windows 10 operating system! Many users can simply use the start menu search function to locate the apps they want to launch.

How does one use the start menu search to locate applications instead of the apps list? This part is pretty simple. After the user clicks on the start menu, they simply start typing the name of the application. Windows will automagically start giving results to the user. Within a few characters, Windows nearly always gives the application (or even the Windows setting) the user is looking for.

Can The Start Menu Apps List Be Reenabled In Windows 10?

It is clear that disabling the Start Menu Apps List In Windows 10 is not for everyone. The good news is disabling the list does not delete it, the disable feature merely makes the list disappear. If the user decides they want their app list back, they can simply reverse the steps in this guide to reveal the list again. I would encourage users to try this out for themselves, I’ve removed all of the start menu apps from my own device and rely solely on the Windows 10 search function.

Learning How To Disable Start Menu Apps List In Windows 10 is a very easy technique to learn. It is useful to both users and system administrators. Some system administrators may want to experiment with removing the app list to simply discourage users from being able to dig through all of the installed applications on the Windows 10 operating system. Its is an excellent visual way to remove the incentive to launch other applications.
