In the first episode of our Geek-Tastic! series we go over PDFCreator, an Adobe Acrobat Pro alternative that will allow you to create PDF documents free. Often times, as students, we find ourselves wanting to send documents to our teachers, friends and family that they cannot open. Mostly they can’t open them because they do not have the complimenting software to do so such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Perhaps they do not have the appropriate image viewer.
PDFCreator free’s us from this issue without spending a dime. Adobe Acrobat would like to charge us to create PDF documents with their clunky software that takes up tons of space and runs really slow. PDFCreator is a lightweight application that allows you to print and create PDF documents at ease. It’s not perfect of course, but hey, the price is right! So right it’s geek-tastic!
