how-to-add-music-and-audio-files-to-wordpress-blog-posts-learn-wordpress-part-8Adding Music and Audio to WordPress Blog Posts is extremely easy to do.  Unfortunately, for those who are using the WordPress.com Free WordPress Hosting, uploading and embedding the audio directly is not an option.  The only real option is to link directly to an external audio file and rely on the individuals browser to play it.

When we move onto the more advanced WordPress self hosting later on in this series you will be able to upload and embed your own audio files directly into your posts using a separate plugin.  In the meantime, we will simply get by with the only option we have.

Now users do have the option to upgrade their Free WordPress.com Hosting to allow them to upload different types of files, but this is really up to the individual who is making the blog.
