It’s no secret the overtaking of the YouTube comments section by Google+ isn’t the most popular decision Google has made. The truth is, this merger shouldn’t have come to a surprise to anyone paying attention to YouTube or Google+ over the past year or two.
My goal of this video is to give the best explanation of Google’s logic for this merger, and to illustrate the future of multimedia entertainment. Many people do not realize the potential of socially engaged content – nor have they even begun to appreciate the tools Google+ offers those who are trying to engage their audiences in a whole new way.
Will this prove to be a wise merger? I believe so, but time (and user adoption) will be the determining factor.
