“The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election. It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters.”
After the media announcement of Pennsylvania for Joe Biden, the media and Democrats celebrate their honeymoon. In response, the Trump campaign released a formal letter to the American people expressing their intentions as the highly contested election moves forward. It’s clear they have no intention of conceding this election and will continue to justifiably contest the media projections. Take a look:
It’s important to note that this election is not, in fact over. Many news publications, including the Epoch Times, have declared they will not announce a winner until the recounts in both Wisconsin and Georgia take place and all legal litigations play out. The actual electorates will not be assigned until the electors declare it. If you were alive at the time, Al Gore was also projected as the winner of the 2000 election by the media, but after the recounts and litigation he did not win the presidency.
The important takeaway is this, it’s important not to get too excited (or nervous) about the outcome. The Trump team needs to provide a significant amount of evidence as things move forward, and much anecdotal evidence currently exists. The letter seems to imply their intentions are to begin this process. My theory is many in the media are going to attempt to slander those calling for litigation and audit of the election. Hopefully I am wrong about this.
Ultimately it is the American people and the Biden campaign who can gain from a full audit. If Biden, indeed, won these states then it will only further legitimatize his presidency. Even though this uncertainty may be a blessing in disguise, it doesn’t make it comfortable. There’s likely a severe battle as things move ahead.
