Smartphones
“At first glance, the Microsoft Surface Duo looks extremely similar to the Nintendo 3DS without the buttons or D-pad. It’s always difficult to look at technology that “flips” and not immediately go back in time to the days of flip phones or flip consoles. This particular tablet from Microsoft didn’t bother trying to be a “bendable screen” – which is fine in my opinion, the technology is somewhat gimmicky and it likely affects the longevity of the device. This review from Windows Central covers the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Microsoft Surface Duo, take a look:”
“The two big beasts competing for users in 2021 are the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra vs iPhone 12 Pro Max. Over at Unboxing Therapy, they put together an excellent comparison of the two smartphones. Me? As I continue to age I’m getting more and more interested in a flip phone, or perhaps a pager. Yeah, no. That would probably last for about two weeks of withdrawal – then I’d go right back to it. Check it out!”
“There are many new concepts in smartphone design, but none quite as striking as Oppo’s new color changing phone. The backing of the phone is coated with special color changing elements that cause the color to shift with changes in lighting. This particular ocular trick is similar to the world’s blackest paint used on cars. I’d be curious to see how one would actually look. This review by Unbox Therapy covers the phone in all it’s glory along with an actual full review of the device itself.”
“Samsung is starting 2021 strong with their S21 series of smartphones. This particular video covers the high end version of their smartphone known as the Samsung S21 Ultra. Marques Brownlee goes over pricing, specifications, and features of this monster – take a look:”
“It was already pretty amazing that LG presented a rollable TV in 2019, but this smartphone design is extra amazing. The screen starts at a standard resolution but with a quick swipe of a finger the screen “unrolls” to expand the screen to larger dimensions, take a look:”
