In the old days GTK based Linux desktop had a Force Quit applet in the upper desktop panel. But today with the Development of desktops like Unity and Gnome shell this functionality is not as Obvious as it once was. But Luckily there is an easy solution to this.
Some Linux Desktop environments such as KDE already have Keyboard shortcuts for Force Quit. Ubuntu and the Unity Desktop along with other GTK based desktops Used to have a Force quit applet right on the desktop panel. but as these desktop environments have evolved things have changed. in this video i show you how to easily set up a keyboard shortcut to quickly and painlessly force quit non-responsive apps.
