I’m going to assume a few things here before I get started so please forgive me if I get this wrong. I know it’s not a good thing to assume, and yes I know what they say about that word too.
However I am going to still give it a try. I am going to assume that if you do own a Mac computer then you are probably the type of computer user that likes to create things. I am also going to assume that even if you aren’t in to creating things that you do indeed love your Mac and use it quite often to do different things.
You check your e mails, you launch this application and then another right? Maybe you drag your mouse over to your computer’s hard drive icon and from there end up navigating to your applications folder to search and launch whatever application you need.
Have You Met Alfred?
Alfred is a fantastic application for any Mac user. All you do once you have Alfred installed on your system is hit a few customizable keyboard shortcuts and start typing whatever you want to open.
It’s somewhat like Apple’s Spotlight application but so much better. Alfred can be customized to search only the files, applications, and folders that you choose. Alfred can also be set to run in the background and so it really is always there when you need it.
The Need For Speed:
My main reason for loving Alfred is because I am constantly opening and closing applications. I can’t stand Apple’s Launchpad application. It just isn’t for me. Yes, it is built in to the operating system; but I just am not a fan of it and from everything that I’ve read from other Mac users; there are many others that share my feelings on that.
Alfred allows you to not have so many applications down in your Doc. Really you don’t have to have any applications in your Doc if you dont’ want to because Alfred is basically everything on your computer in a few simple key strokes.
Added Features:
The creators behind the Alfred app are constantly adding to the main Alfred App website. Their site is great as well.
It has awesome tutorials on how you can utilize Alfred to work for you and to suite your individual needs. I personally think that Alfred is one of best application launchers out there for the Mac.
Save Your Money, Alfred is Free!
You know how everyone always says that nothing is free in this world any more? Well that’s really not true.
The Alfred application is absolutely free. So what are you waiting for? You really have nothing to lose and so much time to gain. You will be happy that you met Alfred indeed.
How To Get Alfred:
This part is simple. All you need to do is visit the Alfred App website or simply open your App Store icon on your Mac and type in, “Alfred” in the search bar. Then click install and your done.
